Pots Rodeo

Freestyle Kayak Competition

About

The Pots Rodeo is an annual freestyle kayaking event taking place on Flowerpots weir in Exeter. It is a laid back competition run for charity by Exeter University Canoe Club, raising £1203 so far for Sport Relief and DELTA. This year’s charity is the Devon Air Ambulance Trust!

The main event this year will either be a Boater-EXE, a race down the two weirs at Flowerpots, or a rodeo, depending on the water levels.

When & Where

The Rodeo will take place on the 4th February 2012 (registration open from 1200), with the first event kicking off at 2pm, going on into the dark with the river flood-lit, and AS Watersport's resident DJ pumping some tunes out over the Exe, carrying on until last orders at the Mill on the Exe pub, where the prize giving is held, and followed by the epic after party!

Who it is for

The Rodeo is open to anyone over the age of 18 with a confident roll and some experience of white water kayaking, as a student run event we particularly encourage other University clubs to get involved, but everyone is welcome!
